Stone Tucker Instruments provides Calibration and Repair Service to most coatings inspection and quality assurance instruments. All equipment is verified according to manufacturer's tolerances, using reference standards traceable to NIST, or other appropriate national or international standards.

Stone Tucker Instruments' Certified Coating Thickness Standards come in sets of 3 certified coated metal plates plus one zero plate in a protective folder.

DeFelsko Certified Coating Thickness Standards

DeFelsko Certified Coating Thickness Standards are used to check the accuracy of both electronic and mechanical coating thickness gauges. DeFelsko Certified Coating Thickness Standards are available in sets of 3 coated plates plus one zero plate, with either ferrous or non-ferrous bases for checking gauges to measure coatings on metal substrates, or polystyrene blocks for verification of gauges for measuring coatings on non-metal substrates, and a certificate of calibration traceable to national and international standards.

PCWI Certified Coating Thickness Standards

PCWI CERTIFIED COATING THICKNESS STANDARDS are used to check the accuracy of all types of coating thickness gauges. PCWI Calibration Standards are available in sets of 4 coated plates plus one zero plate, with either ferrous or non-ferrous bases, and calibration certificate traceable to national and international standards, incuding NIST. Certified Calibration Standards are the only correct tool for verifying the accuracy of readings taken with magnetic pull-off coating thickness gauges, and are ideal for checking both magnetic and eddy-current electronic coating thickness gauges.

Stone Tucker Instruments Brand Certified Calibration Shims

CALIBRATION SHIMS are used to verify that digital coating thickness gauges are measuring within tolerance, and to ensure that the user is following the correct procedure for gauge operation. Plastic Calibration Shims are available in sets of 5 un-certified shims, or 8 Certified Coating Thickness Shims in a rigid folder.

DeFelsko Plastic Calibration Shims

DeFelsko Certified Plastic Shims (foils) provide an economical alternative to coated metal plates. They have a reduced accuracy of ±2 µm (±0.08 mil). A coating thickness gage measures shim thickness when this shim is placed over a smooth metal surface (zero plate).

Alternatively, they can be placed over an uncoated metal substrate. Plastic calibration shims are not suitable for use with magnetic pull-off gages.
