Coating Thickness Gauges
The New PosiTector 6000 Coating Thickness Gauge by DeFelsko.
The PosiTector 6000 Electronic Dry Film Thickness Gauges for measuring Coating Thickness on all metal substrates now has more advanced features making it faster, smarter, and more versatile. PosiTector 6000 has a new design for better and easier handling, faster and more convenient menu selection. Now paperless, the new PosiTector 6000 requires no software; readings are stored in the gauge, browsed using your computer's file explorer, and can be downloaded to computer or uploaded to PosiTector.net web-based application via USB. PosiTector Universal Gauge body, available in Standard and Advanced models, can now accept any PosiTector 6000, PosiTector Dew Point Meter, or PosiTector Surface Profile Gauge probes. The Advanced PosiTector 6000 are now WIFI enabled to communicate with any wireless device to download readings and reports, or upload photos.
DeFelsko announces their Newly Re-designed PosiTector 200 Coating Thickness Gauge for concrete, wood, and other non-metal substrates. PosiTector 200 uses ultrasoound technology to non-destructively measure coating thickness on a variety of non-metal substrates, including wood, concrete, and plastics. The New PosiTector 200 comes in Standard or Advanced gauge models, with a choice of three measuring ranges, including the new 200D-probe for soft, thick coatings like polyurea (up to 200 mils), asphaltic neoprene, or thick polymers from 2 to 300 mils thickness.
DeFelsko's New UNIVERSAL POSITECTOR GAUGE BODY brings the PosiTector series of Coating Inspection Gauges into the 'paperless' generation. The new PosiTector Universal Gauge body receives all probes for the PosiTector 6000 Coating Thickness Gauges, PosiTector DPM Dew Point Meter, the new PosiTector SPG Surface Profile Gauge and DeFelsko's PosiTector UTG Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge. Two gauge models - Standard and Advanced - include USB mass-storage, downloadable to computer or upload to PosiTector.net web-based application. PosiTector Advanced Gauge bodies now feature WIFI Technology to communicate with mobile devices, PosiTector.net, and to download software updates.
Probes for DeFelsko's PosiTector 6000 Dry Film Coating Thickness Gauge come in a variety of styles and models to accommodate different metals, coating types and thickness, and small or difficult-to-reach places. All separate probes are fully interchangeable on both Standard and Advanced models of PosiTector 6000 gauges. Ferrous, non-ferrous, or ferrous/non-ferrous probes in integrated or separate (cable) probes, micro-probes for very small surfaces or tight spaces, high yield coating thicknesses (up to 500 mils), and the new FHXS Xtreme high-temperature probe for measuring up to 300 mils on steel up to 250 degrees C or 500 degrees fahrenheit.
DeFelsko PosiTest DFT Coating Thickness Gauge is the ideal gauge for in-shop checking of coating thickness in automotive, welding, or blast shops, or powder coating operations. PosiTest DFT ferrous measures coating thickness up to 40mils on ferrous metals such as steel, while PosiTest DFT Combo measures paint thickness on all metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel substrates.
PosiTest DFT Coating Thickness Gauge is an economical and simple-to-use electronic gage for measuring dry film coating thickness on all metal surfaces.
NEW! DeFelsko PosiTector PC Powder Checker, the next generation of Non-Contact Uncured Powder Thickness Gauge!
The PosiTector PC Powder Checker by DeFelsko measures thickness of uncured Powder Coatings using Ultrasound Technology. The PosiTector PC Powder Checker probe communicates with the gauge via Bluetooth technology - no wires to drag through and mess up applied powder!
Micro-Metrics' OG202 Tooke Paint Inspection Gauge is a precision tool for inspection and thickness measurement of single or multiple coating layers on any substrate, and for microscopic observation and measurement of substrate and film defects. Available in plastic or aluminum body, with 50-power microscope with universale measuring reticule marked in mils, microns, and millimeters, and standard 1X, 2X, and 10X tungsten carbide cutting tips and optional 5X cutting tip.

DeFelsko Certified Coating Thickness Standards are used to check the accuracy of both electronic and mechanical coating thickness gauges. DeFelsko Certified Calibration Standards are available in sets of 3 coated plates plus one zero plate, with either ferrous or non-ferrous bases for checking gauges to measure coatings on metal substrates, or polystyrene blocks for verification of gauges for measuring coatings on non-metal substrates, and a certificate of calibration traceable to NIST standards.
PCWI CERTIFIED COATING THICKNESS STANDARDS are used check the accuracy of coating thickness gauges. PCWI Calibration Standards are available in sets of 4 coated plates plus one zero plate, with either ferrous or non-ferrous bases, and calibration certificate traceable to national and international standards, incuding NIST. Certified Calibration Standards are the only correct tool for verifying the accuracy of readings taken with magnetic pull-off coating thickness gauges, and are ideal for checking both magnetic and eddy-current electronic coating thickness gauges.
CALIBRATION SHIMS are used to verify that digital coating thickness gauges are measuring within tolerance, and to ensure that the user is following the correct procedure for gauge operation. Plastic Calibration Shims are available in sets of 5 un-certified shims, or 8 Certified Shims in a rigid folder.
