DeFelsko Certified Coating Thickness Standards
DeFelsko Certified Coating Thickness Standards allow the user to confirm the accuracy of digital and mechanical coating thickness gauges. Calibration Standards are available with either ferrous or non-ferrous bases. Sets of three certified epoxy-coated metal plates and one zero plate are used to verify the accuracy of gages for measuring coating thickness on metal substrates, including the PosiTest (banana gauge) and the PosiTector 6000 series of dry film thickness gauges for metal substrates. Steel plates are supplied for testing magnetic pull-off or electronic paint gauges; aluminum plates are used to test eddy current paint gauges. Certified Coated Metal Calibration Standards come in a rigid protective folder.
For gauges measuring coatings on non-metal substrates, such as the PosiTector 200, Coating Thickness Standards come in sets of four polystyrene blocks in an acrylic storage box to prevent against damages. The polystyrene Calibration Standards can also be used to verify the heavy-build coating thickness probes for the PosiTector 6000 (probes with letters "T" or "K" in the model number).
All DeFelsko Certified Coating Thickness Standards are provided with a calibration certificate traceable to NIST standards.
