SaltSmart Digital Soluble Salt Meter System


The new SaltSmart™ Digital Soluble Salt Meter System is the industry's newest technology for measuring total soluble salts on surfaces.

SaltSmart™ uses an unique hand-held meter and disposable sensors to detect salts on a wide variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, and composites. The self-contained SaltSmart sensor gives you the ability to quickly test large surfaces without the risk of cross-contamination from testing residue. Compact sensor size makes it ideal for use in places other devices can't reach.

SaltSmart Soluble Salt Contamination System is "hands-free" and employs no manipulation of the sensor during testing. Multiple measurements can be taken at one time, so testing is complete in a fraction of the time of other methods. De-ionized water is drawn across the testing surface by a special wicking process; SaltSmart works in any position on flat or curved surfaces, and on small surfaces down to 15 x 20 mm.

SaltSmart™ is suitable for salt-testing of bridges, ships, pipelines, railroads, water tanks, and virtually anywhere else rust may be a problem. The SaltSmart™ Meter displays measurements in micro-siemens per square centimeter, milligrams per square meter, or micrograms per centimeter squared.

SaltSmart Soluble Salt Meter System comes with the Meter and soft belt pouch in a plastic carrying case, a calibration validation strip, data storage software and download cable, and operating instructions. Sensors come in packs of ten.

SaltSmart is tested to be compliant with ISO 8502-9 - Measurement of Levels of Water Soluable Salts and NACE SP0508 - Methods of Validating Equivalence to ISO 8509-2 on Measurement of the Levels of Water Soluble Salts.
