The Dakota MX-5 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge combines the ability to set velocities in the field with Alarm Mode, Differential Mode, High-Speed scanning, and Data download via RS232 to computer or other storage device. Dakota MX-5DL adds data storage of up to 1000 readings.
Dakota MX-5 and MX-5DL Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges with extruded aluminum body and gasket-sealed end caps are built to go where the work is. Easy to use, MX-5 hand-held Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges are ideal for a variety of applications where material thickness measurement is required.
Features of the Dakota MX-5 and MX-5DL Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges
- dual element transducer w 4-foot cable
- backlit LCD display
- Imperial or metric units switchable
- measuring range of .025 to 19.999 inch
- four readings per second single point measurement, or 16 readings per second in Scan Mode
- differential mode: enter acceptable thickness value, and MX-5 will display the amount of difference from value specified
- alarm mode: enter minimum acceptable thickness value. If readings fall below specified minimum, red light flashes and alarm sounds. If measurement is above minimum value, a green light will flash.
